Vidyanjali App Launched by HRD: An opportunity to Volunteer Indian children

MHRD has been launched an App named Vidyanjali-A school volunteer Programme, inviting all people of India including Youth, retired persons, teachers, government officials, defence personnel, professionals, and women who are home makers to serve as a volunteer to hold public speaking, storytelling, play acting sessions and participate in other co-scholastic activities for children from Class I to VIII.

The eminent personalities like Rajyavardhan Rathore, Kiren Rijiju, Babul Supriyo, footballer Baichung Bhutia, author Ruskin Bond, actress Twinkle Khanna and cricketer Anil Kumble, and have already visited schools to interact with children under this Vidyanjali program.

Speaking at an event here, Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani said at an even that 21 states and 2,200 schools will be participating in the pilot launch of the programme and hoped that by December it will be expanded to include every school in the country.

Under the scheme, schools will be able to through an app contact people who are willing to volunteer for their services to children.
How to volunteer Vidyanjali?

  • Visit/register on or download MyGov app.
  • Fill the form and select the school.
