Coleen Rooney set to receive I’m A Celeb’s ‘highest fee ever’ as she’s confirmed for 2024 series

Coleen Rooney is expected to receive the ‘highest fee ever’ for taking part in this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.

Coleen, 38, has been announced as one of 12 celebrities heading into the jungle this year, with other contestants including N-Dubz singer Tulisa, Love Island star Maura Higgins and boxing promoter Barry McGuigan.

The show will begin on Sunday 17 November and usually runs for three weeks.

Mum-of-four Coleen is apparently a huge fan of the show, and while she’s reportedly been asked before, it seems this year is finally her time to take part.

Interestingly enough, her courtroom rival Rebekah Vardy was actually on the 2017 version of the show, where she was the third campmate to be eliminated from the jungle.

It’s fair to say Coleen is one of the biggest names in this year’s line-up, and according to The Sun on Sunday, she’s actually the show’s biggest ever signing, bagging a deal that surpasses the £1.5 million fee that Nigel Farage secured last year.

LADbible has reached out to ITV for comment.

Although known for her Wagatha Christie fame, Coleen is mum to Kai, 14, Klay, 11, Kit, eight, and Cass, six, meanwhile husband Wayne is currently based in Devon as manager of Plymouth Argyle.

Ever since she was confirmed to be taking part, viewers have wondered whether Coleen might open up on the infamous case with fellow WAG, Rebekah.

The footballers’ wives were embroiled in a High Court libel case following Coleen’s viral social media post in October 2019, for which she said she carried out a ‘sting operation’ and accused Rebekah of leaking ‘false stories’ about her private life to the press.

In the end, Vardy lost the libel case she brought against Coleen and was ordered to pay up to £1.5m in legal fees.

A documentary on Disney+ followed, titled Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story.

Also expected to appear in the jungle this year is McFly star Danny Jones, dancer and presenter Oti Mabuse, Corrie star Alan Halsall – who plays Tyrone Dobbs – and TikToker GK Barry.

Radio 1 host Dean McCullough will also be heading Down Under, as well as singer Tulisa.

Heading into the jungle will mark a TV comeback for the N-Dubz star as she returns following a long health battle.

Other participants include Loose Women star Jane Moore, Rev Richard Coles, radio presenter Melvin Odoom, boxing promoter Barry McGuigan and Love Island star Maura Higgins.
