I know that not everyone likes change, but some iPhone users really aren’t enjoying some elements of the recent iOS 18 update.
The huge update was released last month and many Apple tech users rushed to their devices to download it.
The update came with dozens of new features, ranging from new customization options to ‘distraction-free browsing’.
But a just few weeks on from its release and people are started to air their grievances about iOS 18.
One big part of iOS 18 was the change to the Photos app, which Apple hailed as its ‘biggest redesign ever’.
The update allows iPhone users to browse their photos albums by ‘helpful topics’, as well as customize photos.
“Collections automatically organises your library by theme, so you can check out your recent days, people and pets, trips and more,” Apple’s website said of the changes to Photos.
It adds: “Reorder Collections and choose items to keep at your fingertips in Pinned Collections, so you can quickly get to the content you care about most, whether that’s photos of your dog or your friends, photos you’ve recently edited, or even screenshots or receipts.”

Since the update, people have taken to social media to share their views – and some are calling for Photos to go back to how it was.
Someone penned on Twitter: “Dear Apple, PUT THE PHOTOS APP BACK HOW IT WAS.”
Also addressing Apple direct, a second said: “Hey @Apple I think you all did a real sh*t job with this update for the Photos app.
“The UI sucks. I can’t easily get to my favorites album, you don’t have a sound button visible to toggle sound on/off videos easily. And overall the new design is cluttered and overwhelming.”
“The photos app after the iOS 18 update is actually the worst thing to happen to any apple product ever like wtf is this sh*t,” raged another.

Meanwhile, someone else said the tech firm ‘ruined’ the app ‘for no reason’.
And a different person penned: “It’s super annoying now. Can’t get used to it. I need a new update asap.”
People have also hailed the update the Photos app as ‘unusable’.
Not everyone that’s hating on the update though, some iPhone users seemingly like the new changes.
“The iOS 18 photos app is amazing and you’re all wrong,” one Apple fan insisted, as another person wrote: “I personally really like the new photos app. It’s a nice change.”
