Bizarre meaning behind Kim Kardashian’s $20,000 ‘Skibidi Toilet’ necklace from North

bizarre meaning behind kim karda

North West’s necklace gifted to mom Kim Kardashian was inspired by a viral YouTube video which ‘ruined an entire generation’

Yep. It’s all just completely bizarre – Kim Kardashian’s eldest daughter gifting her a diamond necklace for her 44th birthday on October 21 estimated as being worth up to $20,000, but having it engraved with ‘Skibidi Toilet’.

Before you read any further, question whether you truly need to know what ‘Skibidi Toilet’ all really means and whether your mind will ever be the same after seeing what it’s all about.

Kim Kardashian took to Instagram Story to share her gift from North for her 44th birthday on October 21.

CEO of jewelry brand The Clear Cut, Olivia Landau, estimated to PEOPLE the value of the necklace ‘could be around $15-20k given how each diamond may contain around 0.08 to 0.10 carats and appears to feature ‘a solid plate’ beneath the engraving.

The back of the necklace features another engraving that reads: “Love, North” along with the date.

But why spent thousands on diamond jewelry only to engrave it with the phrase ‘Skibidi Toilet’ ?! I hear you scream.

Well, back in May 2023, a YouTube user who goes by ‘DaFuq!?Boom!’ shared a video to their channel titled ‘Skibidi Toilet – Season 1 [FULL SCREEN]’.

The caption reads: “First 4 episodes of skibidi toilet a.k.a. as toilet in ohio in fullscreen. skibidi dop dop dop yes yes skibidi double u reeh reeh.” Yup, I have no clue either.

And the video only makes it all even weirder; the one minute six seconds long animation featuring the most random – yet alarmingly catchy – song you’ll ever hear playing over visuals of a deranged-looking human head emerging from a toilet, bopping up and down and side to side, before later appearing out of various urinals, with tiny versions of people also popping up everywhere and the toilet and head in various other settings across four episodes within the post.

The line “What the heck is going on?” certainly seems like a fairly adequate one to sum the whole video up.

It didn’t take long for people to weigh in on the clip, people still taking to the comments to this day still not over what they’ve seen.

One YouTube user said: “You have set humanity back by nearly 50 years.”

“DaFuq is probably having an Oppenheimer moment right now ‘I am become skibidi, destroyer of cognitive development’,” another added, as a third commented: “Imagine being able to put on your resume: ‘I ruined an entire generation’.”

And a final resolved: “Dont blame this guy for making this series. Blame the parents who allowed their kids to had an ipad early.”

The video has gone on to evolve into a series of over 70 videos, the YouTuber amassing over 40 million subscribers however, as one person commented on social media after seeing Kardashian’s necklace: “I’m officially old enough to not understand the new ‘trends’ any more.. tf that even mean.”

Well, at least it holds a cute sentiment for Kardashian and West eh? It’s the thought that counts, I guess.
