Most of us hate doing laundry, but Channing Tatum hates it so much that at one point in his life, he avoided doing it entirely.
Mundane adult jobs like laundry a far from the top of people’s lists of things they enjoy to do in their downtime.
In fact, some of the most hated chores people have to do include cleaning the bathroom, washing the dishes, cleaning the oven and doing laundry or ironing, according to one survey – so Tatum isn’t alone in his dislike of cleaning his clothes.
While it’s likely that the Hollywood star now has someone doing his laundry for him, before he hit the big time and had to do it himself, Tatum would sometimes avoid cleaning his clothes for long periods of time.
At one stage he claims to have gone a whole 12 months without doing any laundry and would simply buy new t-shirts instead.
“I hate doing laundry. Like, I hate it more than I can possibly say,” Tatum revealed in a recent interview with GQ.
“I had one year that I called ‘the year of the fresh white tee’ and I don’t think I did laundry all year that year and I just wore white T-shirts that I just bought.”

Apparently the 44-year-old’s white tee go-to is from Hanes.
Further reminiscing about ‘the year of the fresh white tee’, Tatum continued: “I’d [look at a shirt and] be like, ‘I can get like two wears out of this a week. This is gonna be good.’
“The year of the fresh white tee — ’99 or 2000. It’s a beautiful year.”
Tatum has been doing the media rounds of late following the release of his new movie Blink Twice, which was written and directed by his fiancée Zoë Kravitz.
The celebrity couple have kept a lot of their relationship out of the spotlight, but Tatum recently make some heartfelt sentiments about his wife-to-be and encouraged people to take on creative projects with their partners.
“This is what I’ll say about creating with someone that you are with or love: I suggest it,” the Magic Mike star told People.
“If you are thinking about having a kid or if you’re thinking about getting married, go find the hardest possible creative project with your partner.”
Cute!
