Conjoined twins Abby and Brittany Hensel share rare new photo of themselves with Abby’s husband

Abby and Brittany Hensel certainly seem to know a thing or two about how to keep their supporters wanting more, don’t they?

It appears as though the conjoined twins, 34, enjoy sending their fans into a frenzy by drip-feeding them pieces of information about their personal lives before disappearing back under the radar again.

The sisters managed to keep Abby’s 2021 wedding to Joshua Bowling under wraps for three whole years before word got out back in March, so we all know they can certainly keep a secret.

And after sharing so much of their lives while starring in their own TLC reality show Abby & Brittany, it’s no wonder the fifth grade teachers value their privacy.

So, seen as though Abby and Brittany don’t post a blow-by-blow account of their daily activities on social media, we have to make do with a rare snap that’s been uploaded by US army veteran Joshua, instead.

The former combat medic, from Tennessee, decided to make his and Abby’s marriage Facebook official by updating his profile picture to an image of him, his grinning wife and her twin Brittany.

The trio can be seen smiling at the camera, which reassured their supporters that the relationship is still going strong.

The pair have been together for more than three years and in 2021, Joshua got hitched to Abby in a ceremony which was only attended by close friends and family.

After the couple let the cat out of the bag earlier this year, the Hensel sisters decided to share some snippets from the big day with social media users.

In one TikTok video, the happy couple and Brittany shared a series of images from their nuptials while Taylor Swift’s song ‘But Daddy I Love Him’ played in the background.

Abby and Joshua – who has a young daughter from a previous relationship – also ended up going viral after sharing footage of their first dance to a remix of Adele’s ‘Rolling in the Deep’.

Although they were happy to give people a glimpse into their love bubble, it was clear that Abby and Brittany didn’t appreciate all the chatter about the secret wedding ceremony.

The twins called out online trolls who were targeting them earlier this year, saying: “This is a message to all the haters out there.

“If you don’t like what I do, but watch everything I’m doing, you’re still a fan.”

What are dicephalus conjoined twins?

For those who don’t know, the Minnesota-born TV stars are dicephalus conjoined twins, meaning they share a bloodstream and all of the organs below the waist – each having a heart.

They have two heads, two digestive systems and two separate stomachs, but share the same torso, bladder and excretion system.

Brittany has control of their left arm and leg, while Abby helms the right side.

However, most people’s questions about the sisters aren’t necessarily about their bodily functions, but rather subjects such as if they will ever welcome children.

“That is probably something that could work because those organs do work for them,” the twins’ mum explained in a documentary titled Joined For Life.

“Yeah, we’re going to be moms,” Brittany chimed in.

As you can imagine, Abby’s nuptials sparked a lot of renewed interest in the conjoined twins and how they navigate life, even though we were first introduced to the sisters back in the 90s when they appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show as little kids.

The siblings have explained everything from what happens when one of them becomes unwell to how they drive a car over the years, but it seems the curiosity surrounding them is still alive and kicking.
