Any football fan will know that there’s a plethora of promising talents who never quite go on to make it at the top level of the game.

One of those players is Fabio Paim who cut his teeth at the Sporting CP academy, which Cristiano Ronaldo also came through, but never quite managed to establish himself anywhere.

He was on the books of 19 clubs during his career, with most of them being loan moves including a brief stint at Chelsea in 2008, though never ended up playing for the first team, and represented Portugal at various youth levels.

Paim also made some bold statements about the direction his career could have taken, in a podcast hosted by PT Clipes he said if he ‘had half of Cristiano’s head’ to guide him through being a footballer then ‘it would be me, him and Messi’ at the top of the game.

Ronaldo actually responded by commenting ‘WTF’ and asking ‘who is this guy?’.

Now after years in football of never quite making it, Paim has ended up pursuing a new career as a porn star.

The former footballer recently told Thiago Paiva he ‘would like to act in a porn film’ and thought it ‘would make all my dreams come true’.

It seems as though he’s managed to make the career change after all, as The Sun reported that he’s got a sex tape up for sale and that one of the women in the video, Diana Cu de Melancia, said that the ex-footballer ‘turned out to be a lion’ who wasn’t nervous about the career change.

She said: “We thought he was going to be nervous and it wouldn’t work out – but Fabio turned out to be a lion.

“He was good at football and he is good at porn. He’s going to be a success.

“I hope this film is the first of many with Paim.”

The former footballer, 36, said: “It’s difficult being in front of the cameras but I did it and I think I have got talent for this.

“I got a lot of pleasure and made two dreams come true, making the film and being with two spectacular women.”

Of his career on the pitch not quite panning out how he hoped, Paim once said to The Sun he ‘got the illusion I didn’t need the effort’ after being ‘born with talent’.

“I regret some of my choices,” he said as he reflected on his career

“Now I’m at a different age so can see the picture differently. The talent was there but my mind wasn’t. My head was on women and partying, everywhere else apart from football.

“I played some matches but my body was not in its best shape and didn’t respond to what people were demanding from me because if I could, I would have been at Barcelona or Real Madrid.”
