Former footballer labelled ‘better than Ronaldo’ speaks out after switching careers to become adult star

A former footballer who once drew comparisons to Cristiano Ronaldo ended up becoming an adult film star, and now he’s spoken out about his new career change.

Like Ronaldo, Fabio Paim started his career at the Sporting CP academy and ended up being tipped as a major prospect to watch.

However, like so many young footballers who gain fame and recognition very early on in their career, Paim never quite hit the heights people hoped he would.

He ended up pulling on a shirt for 19 different clubs in his career, including a brief stint at Chelsea in 2008 where he only played for the reserves, and turned out for Portugal at various youth team levels.

Sadly for Fabio he was unable to translate his promise into a career at the very top level of football, but he’s since found another occupation as he recently appeared in a porn film.

Paim seems to have wholeheartedly embraced his new job, and in a recent interview with Globo Esporte he spoke out on the impact changing careers has been having on his life.

He said: “Here in Portugal it’s all crazy, everyone is going crazy. Do you know why? Because people don’t take it the wrong way, that’s just how I am.

“On a podcast, I said that my dream was to be a porn actor. I got a lot of offers. I was on the news, I was on the front pages of newspapers and I hadn’t done anything.

“Since everyone was talking about it, let’s make a film. And I did. Dude, I’ll tell you one thing, it’s good to have sex and still get paid for it.”

The former footballer did say it would be untrue to say he’d lived a life without regrets, but he says he’s ‘happier now’.

As for those links with Ronaldo, Paim said in the interview that ‘everyone knows’ he was more talented, but admitted that ‘talent is just a little bit’.

In the past he admitted his talent gave him ‘the illusion I didn’t need the effort’, as he thinks he could have made it at Barcelona or Real Madrid if he’d really applied himself, but he never managed to get close.

The former footballer once said that if he’d worked as hard as Ronaldo he might have won one of the Portugal legend’s Ballon d’Or awards, a comment which prompted Ronaldo to respond: “Who is this guy?”
