A simple response to a meme sparked a defense over who ended it with who between Elon Musk and his ex Grimes.
The Canadian singer received a tirade of abuse from the New York rapper Azealia Banks after Grimes, real name Claire Boucher, replied to a meme on Twitter a fan made featuring both artists’ faces.
“Hate to say it but would’ve been kinda lit,” Grimes commented – the picture was an AI generated snap of herself as the ‘good witch’ and Banks as the ‘bad witch’ from Wicked.
The two famously have beef after Grimes invited Banks over to hers and Musk’s home in LA, with the 33-year-old Harlem singer likening her experience to that of the film 2017 horror Get Out.
She also has made it public that she is not a fan of the richest man on the planet, and that doesn’t like the Vancouver-born 36-year-old’s music.
Hitting back on Twitter, Banks posted: “@Grimezsz girl the way u are still trying to hold out on some weird ass innocent bulls*** years later after u got dumped, cheated on, ur kids kidnapped and still trying to paint me like the villain and act like ur above me when ur getting sonned by elons secretary.
“When ur the one that *literally* did not make the f***ing music and Elon is the one who harvested ur eggs and took a picture of your c section is PEAK white female delusion. Get over urself ho.
“The n**** has like four new kids and ur really a lame. Sis. U can really quit mentioning me. I know you wish you could be my bestie but b****….. it’s f***ing boring as hell. Let it go.”
She continued: “Stop trying to squeeze the novelty out of this to deflect from the fact that Elon really dogged you and dragged u in front of the entire world had you begging for your kids n s*** sis then threw all his hoes in a compound together and took his little bag of k and went to maralago…. sis… it’s a dub.
“It’s giving crack daddy sis. He’s on ozempic and tina feeling himself now. It’s finished. He’s f***ing fried. It’s not giving all that u still the same dirty lil white b**** from McGill that drinks tap water and eats Spaghetti. Ur not lady gaga girl. Relax.”
She went on: “Like no sis, ur not lady gaga disease level white art c*** rag. You never were lmao. Please stop playing urself sis. It’s old.
“And u were never f***in with me so I’m not understanding.”
There is clearly some beef between the two, but Grimes responded to set the record straight about her relationship with Musk.
She replied: “It’s just a funny joke bro. not trying to paint u as a villain.
“I didn’t ‘get dumped’. I bounced. My amazing baby is asleep in my bed beside me, I’m in love. no regrets. Life is as beautiful as u want it to be.
“Ur insanely talented. even after all this, I want u to win. god bless Mlady.”
After four years together, Grimes and Musk split in 2022 and share three children – youngest son Techno Mechanicus, aged two, three-year-old daughterExa Dark Sideræl, and four-year-old son X Æ A-Xii.
