Harlan Coben continued his tradition of releasing a hit series on New Year’s Day after Missing You landed on Netflix at the start of 2025.
It follow’s last year release of surprise hit Fool Me Once, starring Michelle Keegan.
The author’s adaptations of novels into TV series have been well received so far, and the American is following his success up with another gripping mystery.
If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s the trailer:
Now available to stream on Netflix, the show will aim to reach the heights of it’s predecessor, as its stacked celebrity cast and cameos has already made headlines.
The show follows a missing persons detective after she finds her ex-fiancé on a dating app, after he went missing without a trace years prior.
Starring the likes of Rosalind Eleazar, Ashley Walters, Richard Armitage, Sir Lenny Henry, and Jessica Plummer, the show even has a cameo from social media star GK Barry.
But if you’re an avid binge-watcher, chances are that you’ve already gone through all five episodes of the limited series, thirsting for more Coben content.
Well have no fear, here are a few shows from the writer that you ought to get on your screens after Missing You.
Fool Me Once
Arguably the most successful series adaptation from the author, this thriller follows former military captain and helicopter pilot Maya Stern (Keegan), after she sees her dead husband in camera footage of her daughter.
Her niece and nephew, Abby and Daniel, also investigate the case of their murdered mother, and seek a connection between the cases.
The Stranger
This one dropped back in 2020 and, like Fool Me Once, stars Armitage as well as Hannah John-Kamen and Siobhan Finneran.
It follows the happily married father of two whose life is changed after a passerby tells him a secret about his life, putting him in grave danger.
Stay Close
Released on Netflix in 2021, Stay Close stars Cush Jumbo, James Nesbitt, Eddie Izzard, Poppy Gilbert, Hyoie O’Grady and – once again – Armitage.
The series follows four characters that find out some deep, dark secrets about those close to them.
Different from one another, we find out if the past haunts them and ruins their lives, or if they are able to deal with their past demons and come out stronger.
Safe
This was the first English-language Harlan Coben series to come out on Netflix back in 2018 and features Emmett J. Scanlan, Michael C. Hall and Amanda Abbington.
The series follows single father, Tom, who is bringing up his two daughters after the death of his wife.
But after his eldest child disappears, he uncovers dark secrets about the people that he thought were close to him and the truth about the seemingly perfect community where he lives.
There are also other Harlan Coben series available on Netflix, albeit in different languages.
The Innocent, Hold Tight, Gone for Good and The Woods are all available subbed or dubbed, if that whets your appetite.
