Horrifying moment man is left with life-changing injuries after being run over by aeroplane

Watch the horrifying moment a man was left with life-changing injuries after being run over by an aeroplane.

Finding yourself under the wheel of a 70-tonne passenger jet is a nightmare in which no one would want to find themselves. However this exact scenario happened to a young man in Russia – and he lived to tell the tale.

22-year-old airport technician Rail Khasanov had been working at Koltsovo Airport in Yekaterinburg when a horrifying turn of events saw him end up under the wheel of a Ural Airlines jet.

Khasanov had been preparing the Airbus A320 for departure when the aircraft began to move forward before he’d had chance to move out of the way.

Grainy CCTV footage from the airport then reveals the moment Khasanov falls and goes under the plane’s front set of wheels, with the crew onboard seemingly oblivious before coming to a stop a couple of seconds later.

Miraculously the airport technician was able to come out of the situation with his life and has now spoken out five months later, after spending time in hospital to recover from his injuries.

Recalling the events of the night, Khasanov said: “I remember everything perfectly.

“A huge wheel drove along my leg and stopped. In the first few seconds, I thought it was a nightmare but I couldn’t wake up.

“I didn’t feel any pain at first because of the shock but then I felt my bones burst.”

Khasanov then made the decision to message his mother on social media and inform her about what had happened while he waited to be freed from under the wheel.

“I was fully conscious while I was lying under the plane for seven minutes, and I managed to write to my mother, ‘Mum, I was hit by a plane’,” he continued.

“Then I wanted to sleep. I was so thirsty because of the blood loss. In the ambulance, I managed to say what happened and then I passed out.”

Khasanov then added that medical professionals made the decision to place him into a medical coma in order to avoid extra stress on his heart. He would wake up five days later to learn one of his legs had been amputated at the hip.

Recalling the moment he regained consciousness, Khasanov said: “I could see I was in intensive care with my mother next to my bed. I had no panic.”

He continued: “I had known even while I was under the plane that my leg didn’t have a hope.”

Khasanov has since received £16,000 (RUB 2 million) compensation after an investigation concluded the aircraft commander was at fault, while Ural Airlines have since ‘promised’ to find him another job in the company.
