A TikToker has shared a video of his hotel room in North America, and what he discovered may give you the chills.
When staying in a hotel, there are already things you need to be conscious of – we’ve all heard stories of two-way mirrors, where someone sits and watches you in the next room.

The likelihood of you ever encountering a two-way mirror must be incredibly low, but I’m sure there will be sketchy places that have them installed.
Then there’s the spy cameras that get placed in odd places, like in your shower-head, alarm clock, or anywhere else – this is particularly an issue in South Korea.
It is called the ‘Molka’ problem, the Korean term for spy cameras. Between 2013 to 2018, there were more than 30,000 reported cases of people being filmed by hidden cameras.
So if you weren’t anxious enough about staying in hotels, then what gaming content creator Ash shared with his 363,000 followers may just tip you over the edge.
While staying in a hotel in Vancouver, Canada, he uploaded a video captioned ‘New fear unlocked’.
Speaking in it, he says: “Right so I hate this, so obviously dead bolt right you can unlock it, lock it from the outside… what about this one?

“Why can you only lock it from the outside? What if I go to poop and someone busts in the door and locks me in… what then?”
So you’re now telling me I could be locked in a toilet now? Okay, two-way mirrors, spy cams, enclosed in toilet, got it.
The answer is to do your business with the door wide open and hope you don’t horrify your partner – maybe flush straight away? I don’t know!
Immediately, his horrified fans flooded to the comments on TikTok.
One user typed: “About to live out all the horror games you’ve been playing lately.”
While another wrote: “Who the hell poops with the door closed at a hotel?”
And a third quipped: “Well at least you have a toilet and sink water.”

I mean, I think everyone drops the kids off at the pool with the door closed if you’re sharing the room with someone… in fact, even if you are on your own, do you really want that smell where you’ll be sleeping and chilling?
The 20-second video was uploaded on Saturday (October 12) and has since garnered more than 16,000 views.
One of his followers may have the answer for him.
They explained on the social media platform: “I’m assuming since I worked security in a hotel it’s for emergencies, EMS or the security suits or managers have a master key that’ll unlock that but no one else.”
It makes sense; I doubt someone will really be barging into your hotel room to lock you in the bathroom.
Despite all these fears, I still relish every opportunity I get to stay in a hotel, because realistically I know I’ll most likely never encounter a two-way mirror, spy cams or Jack Nicholson bursting in with an axe.
