Kieran Culkin wins best supporting actor for A Real Pain at the Golden Globes

Kieran Culkin has been crowned as this year’s Golden Globe winner for best supporting actor.

Culkin, Denzel Washington, Jeremy Strong, Guy Pearce, Yura Borisov, and Edward Norton had all been nominated for best supporting actor – but the Succession favorite was the one to prove victorious.

He won the award for his role as Benji Kaplan in A Real Pain, which he stars in alongside Jesse Eisenberg.

In his speech, Culkin quipped that the Golden Globes has become a date night for him and his wife Jazz Charton, and concluded it by thanking his mom.

Ahead of his win, the actor gave an ‘unhinged’ interview on the red carpet.

The chat with Entertainment Tonight saw the 42-year-old throw the presenter’s cue card away and him accidentally swear on live TV.

Culkin also made a jibe at Pedro Pascal and noted that hasn’t received any Golden Globe nominations this year.

The pair went head-to-head for a handful of awards last year: Culkin for his role in Succession, and Pascal for his role in The Last of Us.

Pascal went on to beat Culkin to win an Emmy and – noting the fact that his arm was in a sling at the time – he quipped that the injury occurred after Culkin ‘beat the sh*t out of [him]’.
