Lizzo made clear she wouldn’t be the butt of any joke as she revealed her epic Halloween costume in response to a brutal South Park episode which had poked fun at her.
The ‘Good As Hell’ singer took to Instagram to show off her costume this weekend, months after she first heard her name being dropped in a May episode of the long-running animated comedy.
Lizzo responded to the episode at the time, but her Halloween costume proved that she isn’t all about reacting on impulse – she’s also wiling to play the long game.

Lizzo’s outfit consisted of what appears to be a large prescription box, cinched at the waist with a large measuring tape. The box was decorated in black sparkly writing which read ‘Lizzo’ – but if you’re familiar with the South Park episode, you’ll know that in this context the text didn’t refer to the singer.
Instead, it referenced a fictional weight-loss drug thought up by the writers of South Park for their episode titled South Park: The End of Obesity – more commonly known as the ‘Ozempic episode’.
The episode was inspired by the rise of medication like Ozempic, which is used to manage blood glucose levels for patients with type two diabetes, but has also been used by some people for weight loss.
But rather than filling South Park with characters taking Ozempic, the episode instead created a ‘new drug’, named ‘Lizzo’.

A fictional ad for Lizzo described it as a ‘once-weekly diet suppressor’.
“70 percent of patients on Lizzo no longer care about how much they weigh,” the ad claimed, adding that the Lizzo drug allowed users to ‘eat everything’ they want and ‘keep physical activity to a minimum’.
“Some patients report constipation while listening to Lizzo,” it continued. “Stop listening to Lizzo if you experience suicidal thoughts. Serious side effects include pancreatitis, hypothermia [and] sh**ting out your ears.”
It’s not exactly the best association Lizzo the singer could have had, but she’s obviously handling the joke well.

She initially responded with a video in which she pointed out: “I really showed the world how to love yourself and not give a f**k to a point where these men in Colorado know who the f**k I am and put it on their cartoon that’s been around for 25 years.”
Her Halloween outfit then allowed Lizzo to double down on her no-f***s-given attitude towards being included in South Park, as her video showed her side-stepping along to the jingle as information and testimonials for the fake weight-loss drug played out in the background.
She finished off the video by giving two middle fingers, and has been hit with praise by fans for the response.
“Now that’s a clap back,” one fan commented, as another wrote: “you win”.
In another clip, Lizzo could be seen dancing in her costume with South Park character Eric Cartman.
