A tattoo artist has claimed there are a bunch of tattoos you don’t want to risk getting due to how they’ll look after 10 years.
Getting a tattoo isn’t as permanent as you might think, but getting them removed can prove to be quite a hassle. That being said, for most people they still think a fair bit about how they want to ink their bodies.
Maybe it’ll be something deep and meaningful, maybe it will be a running joke between your closest friends, or maybe it is just something that looks rather pretty.
Whatever it is, according to TikToker @Ink.Body1 – real name Dave Chudley – there are some things you don’t want to get because it won’t look great after 10 years.

In fact, speaking in viral video he shared on his page last year, the tattoo artist said people will come to regret the decision in the long run if they get these kinds of tattoos.
Fine line tattoos
He said: “Fine Line Tattoos. Yes they look great when they are first done but the problem is they don’t age well. So the lines will distort and there is nothing you can do about it.
“I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, your partner’s name. You never know what is going to happen, just don’t do it, just don’t.”
Partner’s name
Okay, this one should be pretty obvious, right?
Dave simply explained: “Just don’t do it… just don’t.”

Scripts
“Again, a very high chance of it bleeding out and it turning into a large mess, but also you could be covering an area that you then can’t turn into a bigger project,” he explained
Portraits
“Portraits of famous personalities,” Dave said. “You never know what is going to come out. Even if they have died, stuff can still come out.”
Realism
“It is probably one of the easiest styles to mess up so if you are going to do that, make sure to go to someone that specializes in tattoo realism so you don’t end up with something like that.”

However, not everyone in comments agreed with Dave and argued that they had tattoos that were coming up to the 10-year mark and were still looking great.
One person on social media wrote: “I’m going in 8 years with my fine line tattoo and it still looks like it was done yesterday.”
Another added: “Personally I love an aged tattoo I have a fine line tattoo on my arm I know it’s not gonna look perfect forever and I’m excited.”
And a third wrote “I’ve had fine line tattoos for 8 years, so granted not quite 10 but they look just as good as when they were done.”
