Terrill Lehman and Charles Webster mysteriously vanished just over 10 years ago and have not been seen since.
In December 2014, 41-year-old Lehman and 46-year-old Webster were reported as missing by their loved ones but despite living with them, Scott Barnett managed to evade suspicions from the cops.
That was until Sunday (January 12), when the Maryland man walked into a Baltimore police station and asked to speak with detectives about a murder.
It was then that he confessed his involvement in the fatal stabbing and dismemberment of his former housemates, the city’s police department said.
Police said the 45-year-old made the admission that he and his partner allegedly carried out the heinous crime at a property in the 1600 block of Ralworth Road.
According to a police report, he discarded their remains in a number of trash cans throughout the city.
The remains of Lehman and Webster’s bodies have never been found.
Barnett’s confession to police officers came after he revealed that his partner passed away in 2022.
Authorities also claim Barnett allegedly wrote ‘I killed him’ on a photo of Webster and ‘I stabbed her’ on a picture of Lehman.
Officials have reported that Barnett, of Dundalk – a community in southeast Baltimore – told them that in November 2014, he and his partner lived together in the basement of a home to the northeast of the city.
He claimed that Webster and Lehman would ‘extort money and drugs‘ from him for allowing them to stay in the home.
Barnett then told cops that while his alleged victims were high on drugs he stabbed them, court documents read.
From there he allegedly wrapped their bodies in a shower curtain and dragged them into the basement where he dismembered them before he ‘double-bagged’ their remains.
Barnett allegedly discarded their body parts in bins around the neighborhood, threw away the tools he used to do so and cleaned the property.
Detectives transported Barnett to the Central Booking Intake Facility where he was charged with first and second-degree murder and is being held without bond, while court documents indicate that he has waived his right to an attorney.
Barnett has appeared in court multiple times with the most recent being in 2023 when he pleaded guilty to second-degree assault and received a three-year prison sentence.
