Man who used AI to apply to 1,000 jobs while he was sleeping wakes up to shocking results

A man on Reddit has claimed his job search was changed massively after he created an AI bot.

A person on Reddit revealed through the use of an artificial intelligence bot they made that ended up making their job search a whole lot easier.

The cherry on top is that the AI bot did all the hard work while he was sleeping soundly in his bed.

The user, who has since deleted his name after posting on the ‘get employed’ board, revealed that he was able to get more than 50 interviews.

They revealed the AI did most of the heavy lifting and would rewrite his CV and cover letter while applying for jobs that he was a fit for.

They wrote: “I created an AI bot that: Analyzes candidate information, examines job descriptions, generates unique CVs and cover letters for each job, answers specific questions that recruiters ask, automatically applies to jobs.

“And all of this while I was sleeping! In just one month, this method helped me secure around 50 interviews. The tailored CVs and cover letters, customized based on each job description, made a significant difference.”

Explaining his thinking, they stated that AI is already changing the recruiting industry and highlighted that many jobs are using AI bots themselves to weed out candidates.

They also claimed that the bot that they used helped ‘effectively passing through automated screening systems.’

Which admittedly can only be a good thing.

The user at least made it clear that he is aware of the ethical considerations in this approach to getting a job.

He wrote (well who knows if he used AI or not): “Observing this technological revolution, I can’t help but reflect on the profound implications for the world of work. “While efficient, the automation of job applications raises questions about the very nature of professional relationships.

“We face a paradox: as we seek to optimize the selection process, we risk losing the human element that often makes a difference in a work environment. The challenge ahead is not just technological, but also ethical and social.

“We’ll need to find a delicate balance between the efficiency of artificial intelligence and the richness of human interactions. Only then can we build a future of work that is not just productive, but also fulfilling and meaningful for everyone.”

This move did prove to be divisive on social media with some suggesting the user is making it clear that they like to cut corners, however, others praised the user for their ingenuity and said it was all fair if companies were using AI to get rid of candidates.
