Musician Halsey says ‘powerful’ music executive looked through her phone to find her nude images

Halsey recalled the horrifying experience that she had to go through in a chilling encounter with a music executive who went through her phone to look for private photos.

The ‘Without Me’ singer, who uses she/they pronouns, was the latest guest on Alex Cooper’s popular Call Her Daddy podcast, in an episode titled ‘Power Dynamics & Toxic Relationships’.

Halsey, whose real name is Ashley Frangipane, opened up on what happened when the anonymous executive asked her for a selfie so that he could send it to a family member.

However, when she nipped to the restroom and left the phone with the executive, they apparently took the chance to do something horrible without permission.

The musician explained it all on the podcast, saying: “I had a really strange situation a couple years ago.

“I guess it was quite a long time ago, but I was out and I was with this executive, this really powerful executive who works in music in some capacity.”

They went on: “I took a selfie of the two of us and I handed him my phone and I was like, ‘Text it to yourself. I have to pee.’

“And then I went to the bathroom and when I came back, he handed me my phone like this,” as she acted out how he gave her the phone back, screen down.

The celebrity revealed: “And I saw he was going through my nudes on my phone.”

Host Cooper understandably reacted in shock, as Halsey admitted that she had no idea how to respond to his bizarre actions at the time.

They admitted: “I was just frozen. I was like, ‘Did I just imagine that? Was that an accident? Did the phone scroll up? What the heck just happened?’

“And then I was like, ‘Did he text them to himself and then delete the messages? I don’t even know where these are now,” she said.

She said the incident made her aware that even though she is a successful singer, has a bodyguard, and is often in ‘exclusive spaces in VIP’, she felt unprotected after the ‘invasive’ act caught her off guard.

Halsey then went on to say that she began to doubt herself, losing belief in her self-worth, admitting: “I went from being like, ‘Yeah, I’m like hot s*** and I’m one of the big players.’ And then I sat down.

“And when that happened, in that moment, I was like, ‘You’re nothing. You’re nothing. You’ll always be nothing,'” they sadly shared.

“‘You’re still just that f***ing girl who’s getting taken advantage of, or like men are talking about you behind your back, or you’re some sort of like, collateral,'” she concluded.
