A resurfaced clip has shown Ricki Lake being told her home ‘would burn in a fire’ by a psychic just months before the LA wildfires began.

The death toll as a result of the wildfires has since risen to 16, while more than 10,000 homes and other structures have been destroyed.

Two of the biggest fires, Palisade and Eaton, according to The Independent, have covered more than 30,000 acres of land.

Firefighters have regained control over some of the fires overnight having previously said eight blazes were causing destruction in the LA region.

The figure has since dropped to three fires.

Many celebrities have lost their homes as a result of the fires, with many famous faces documenting their evacuation efforts and subsequent devastation of losing their property on social media.

Lake is one of those to have suffered, penning on Instagram: “We finally surrendered our efforts and left our home at 8:02 pm.

Grateful to have made it out alive and uninjured. Forever grateful to @kirbykotler_ our absolute angel.

“He did everything to try to save our precious property. No doubt had we stayed, we would not have survived. Sharing for all who have been asking. Thank you for the love and well wishes.

“Again, please pray for those impacted by this catastrophic event and help if you are able. Bless our brave firefighters and first responders. May they stay safe.”

The Hairspray star and talk show host later confirmed the ‘immeasurable’ loss of her ‘dream home’.

“It’s all gone. I can’t believe I am typing these words,” she began. “It was our heaven on earth. The place where we planned to grow old together.

“We never took our heavenly spot on the bluff overlooking our beloved Malibu for granted, not even for one second.

“I shared our sunset views almost daily with all of you.”

On Saturday (January 11), Lake shared a clip to her Instagram of her appearing on Netflix’s Live From the Other Side With Tyler Henry in October.

In the clip, Henry said: “If there was a loss of material objects from a fire and water, that’s the kind of weird distinction — it’s two separate things.

“So we’re going to end up finding there’s a story, where like, there was a house fire or something along those lines.”

The host continued: “There’s jut something about watching water seep into a place that it shouldn’t and damaging things.”
