A woman got impaled by a nail on live TV after a magic trick went horrifically wrong.
There is always the possibility of live television going wrong because, well, it’s live at the end of the day – anything can happen.
Many of these occasions seem to pop up with presenters on the road reporting on extreme weather events, making for hilarious viewing to look back on.
Certainly one of the most terrifying blunders on Polish TV involved presenter Marzena Rogalska.
Back in 2016, the journalist agreed to take part in a magic trick on Pytanie na Śniadanie – which translates to Question for Breakfast – but it took a turn for the worse.
It involved Rogalska slamming her hand down onto a brown paper bag, ensuring she avoided the one that had a painful upward-sticking nail at the bottom of it.
Magician Marcin Poloniewicz, who was once a semi-finalist on Poland’s Got Talent, got the three bags slightly confused, which led to Rogalska banging her hand straight down on the bag which had the nail in. Ouch.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the TV presenter screamed in agony as the nail impaled her, with the magician and the other presenter seemingly thinking it was a joke to start with.
But when the pair and TV crew saw Rogalska’s hand was attached to a nail, she received medical assistance right away.
She ended up being rushed to hospital following the incident. After being released, Rogalska took to Facebook with the magician and her fellow presenter to confirm she was doing alright.

“He didn’t mean for this to happen,” she said, before adding that everything went to plan in rehearsals.
Rogalska went on to say the accident wasn’t Poloniewicz’s fault and asked the internet to give him a break after all the criticism he had been receiving.
The infamous TV moment went viral and has since been watched by millions online.
“What a nice lady for being forgiving and without resent after a random man impaled her hand with a nail,” one person commented on Inside Edition’s YouTube video.
A second added: “Look at the guy’s face when he sees what he did. That is genuine shock and horror.”
While a third remarked: “I’m so happy that the woman forgave him, she has a heart of gold. What she went through must have been terrible!!!”
