“The guns have fallen silent,” apparently anyway, as Oasis have confirmed a reunion tour.
Yep, Liam and Noel Gallagher have put their differences aside enough to announce a load of dates across the UK and Ireland next year.
It’s been nearly 15 years since Oasis split up, with the pair famously feuding ever since. So it’s fair to say fans were surprised to hear the brothers are actually going to share the stage again.
And at some point, before this morning’s (27 August) announcement, they secretly met in the same room to plot the comeback.
Liam and Noel have supposedly not spoken since the band split but miraculously seem to have buried the hatchet to some extent (even if it’s just a sprinkling rather than being six foot deep) as they were ‘laughing and joking’ at the photoshoot.

Fans thought the image that accompanied the big Oasis announcement wasn’t totally clear if the brothers had been photoshopped together or not.
But a source told the Daily Mirror: “I know it looks like it could be photoshopped but they were both there and they have met up. They were laughing and joking. It was great to see after all the years apart.”
And sources told The Sun that the atmosphere in the room was ‘electric’ after fans believed they’d never see them stood beside each other ever again.
“It was a pinch me moment to have Noel and Liam together. It has taken a lot to get them to this point but they’re thinking of the fans,” one said.
Apparently the atmosphere in the room ‘was fizzing’ at the ‘top secret’ photo shoot.

They added: “It is something so many people never thought would happen. But now the brakes have been taken off – and it’s going to be mad.”
Announcing the tour dates today, the band said: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”
It’s reported this long-awaited, almost unbelievable, reunion comes after some ‘late-night conversations’ between the brothers and Noel allegedly agreeing once he’d been convinced by a £50 million initial payday.
If the brothers do manage to keep up this ‘laughing and joking’ attitude with eachother, music experts reckon next year’s tour could gross a mega £400 million.
Plus, there’s some rumours Oasis will take one of the headline slots at Glastonbury with dates wide open for it to happen.
