You’re probably caught up on the fact that The Traitors is finally back on screens across the nation.
Now into its third season, BBC reality show The Traitors has returned with the iconic Claudia Winkleman hosting the show of wits and deception.
Last year, we were treated to a dramatic finale which saw what people described as the ‘most brutal moment in TV history’, not to be overly dramatic or anything.
As heartbreaking as it was for Mollie, Traitor Harry walked away victorious, and viewers will be hoping for more of the same gripping action.
If you’re unfamiliar with the BAFTA-winning programme, The Traitors follows 25 strangers in a game of ‘social deception’, essentially, as they try to figure out who the ‘traitors’ are in the group, voting people out while trying to work the cash pot up to a grand total of £120,000.
But as season three kicks off, airing on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights at 9pm, fans have already been treated to some classic Traitors drama.
Three contestants were already made to leave the show in its first episode, with the rest making their way to the Scottish Highland Castle, with no technology allowed and no contact with the outside world,
Viewers won’t be too gutted as the show begins to reach its conclusion later this month though, for one good reason.
It’s been reported that there will be a celebrity edition of the highly-rated reality show.
According to Super TV, the series will air this year, with several big names in the reported list.
The likes of Olympian Tom Daley and actress Jennifer Saunders are reported to feature, while sports presenting legend Clare Balding and broadcaster Stephen Fry are also rumoured to be on the show.
But the name that takes the cake as the most iconic addition would be comedian and writer Bob Mortimer, one half of Reeves and Mortimer.
The 65-year-old would be a sure-fire fan favourite if these plans go ahead, as he spearheads the list of reported big names.
Here’s the list in full:
Bob Mortimer
Daisy May Cooper
Charlie Cooper
Jennifer Saunders
Alan Carr
Paloma Faith
Tom Daley
Richard Osman
Clare Balding
Robert Peston
Stephen Fry
While nothing has been confirmed yet, fans would love nothing more than another season of The Traitors this year, and for it to involve some familiar faces.
Could Mortimer bamboozle everyone as one of the traitors?
A spokesperson for The Traitors said to LADbible: “The Traitors is a game that includes lies and deception, thus it would be foolhardy for any Faithful to speculate before the game has begun.”
