Twilight fans are just spotting obvious mistake in movie that’s now ‘very hard to unsee’

twilight fans spot major mistake in movie

Fans of the cult classic movie Twilight have pointed out some very glaring mistakes which are ‘very hard to unsee’.

The romance fantasy saga, based on the book series by Stephanie Meyer, has been considered a subculture of its own since the first film hit movie theatres and soared at the box office in 2008.

The film franchise is ruthlessly mocked by some for ‘cringe’ dialogue, and now eagle-eyed fans have spotted some embarrassing technical mistakes too.

A TikTok user, Matt, who goes by the name Movie Messups, said he found several slips.

The clip he exposes involves protagonist, Bella Swan, played by Kristen Stewart, rocking up to class on her first day of school in a red truck in a clip which barely reaches 20 seconds.

Matt says: “In this scene there are two mistakes, at least two that I saw. There may be more, honestly.”

He then pointed to the reflection in the windscreen glass of the truck and a character’s hoodie.

Highlighting the error ‘frame by frame’, he said viewers can clearly see ‘a boom mic and the camera reflected in the glass’ of the car window.

The TikToker admits the mistake is ‘really quick’, adding: “I cannot believe I saw this” before spotting another blunder immediately after.

As Bella then gets out of the truck, a character says to Bella: “Nice ride.”

Seconds before the exchange, the boy is seen wearing a black vest over his hoodie, yet when the camera pans out, the vest has gone.

The goof has tickled other fans of the movie and applauded the TikToker for the spot.

“MATT HOW! This is a serious skill. I could never,” one of Matt’s 110,000 social media followers wrote, to which the keen film buff confessed he has a ‘trained eye in the film industry’ as an editor.

Others have since highlighted some more filming fails in the movie.

One fan wrote: “The hospital scene kills me… Her oxygen tubes on her face kept moving around to different spots each shot.”

Dozens of viewers then jumped to the comment section to also slam the oxygen scene with many saying it drives them ‘crazy’ and has ‘bugged’ them since they first noticed it.

Another mistake comes when Bella and Edward, played by Robert Pattinson, go into the forest and Bella drops her red bag on the floor.

A TikTok user pointed out that the bag then ‘disappears’ to which Matt said he also spotted the mistake ‘but the scene is so long that I figured I’d save everyone the pain of watching it with me’, he added.

A fourth also wrote: “The baseball scene at the end… Rosalie’s hair went from straight to wavy several times.”

A fifth chimed: “There is a glimpse of a camera in the mirrors in the ballet studio scene as well!”

Other observers pointed out some apparent inconsistencies, such as Bella leaving the window down in her truck ‘in one of the rainiest areas of the US‘, which is then later mysteriously rolled up when she returns.

Meanwhile, in the plot, Bella isn’t supposed to be affected by the vampire clan’s powers yet is ‘manipulated’ by Jasper.

Another fan joked: “[Matt]’s going to make 100 TikTok videos just to finish this one movie.”

Indeed, Twilight appears to be a treasure trove of slip-ups and may just be the gift that keeps on giving.
