What happens next if you get access to the Oasis tour presale

Oasis have sent their fans into a frenzy after announcing their long-awaited reunion as well as a massive UK and Ireland tour.

And to make the excitement go a little further, they spent the evening of the announcement day issuing a presale for the gigs, which hundreds of thousands of fans signed up for in the hope of securing tickets ahead of general sale at the weekend.

Noel and Liam Gallagher officially buried the hatchet this week, putting an end to their 15-year rift after the older brother quit the band back in 2009.

The pair reunited earlier this summer in secret, getting together for a photoshoot for the big reunion announcement that has sent shockwaves through the UK and Ireland.

With millions braced to try and get a ticket when the general sale happens on Saturday morning (31 August) at 9am (8am for the Dublin dates), Oasis launched a presale on the evening of the reunion announcement which would be decided by ballot.

Those successful in trying to secure access will go through to the presale on Friday afternoon, which gives them a shot at getting a ticket early.

The Oasis presale explained

Oasis launched a presale for its 14 UK and Ireland concerts, at 7pm on Tuesday (27 August), ending at 7pm on Wednesday.

If you don’t apply in this time, you’ve sadly missed out altogether on getting tickets early.

What happens if I’m successful in the Oasis presale ballot?

All entrants in to the Oasis presale will go in to a ballot, with applications randomly selected when it comes to being successful.

If you do not receive an email, your application has not been successful. You wont be told you’ve been unsuccessful.

If you have been successful in the ballot, you’ve get a presale access code from oasismynet on Friday before midday.

You can only claim one code per successful ballot entry. Your ballot also has no cash value and cannot be transferred to someone else, meaning you can’t flog it to fans desperate to get tickets early. Yes, we’re talking about you, scalpers.

The code also cannot be used with any other email address than the one it was originally sent to.

How many tickets are for sale and how many can I buy?

Organisers haven’t revealed exactly how many tickets are in the presale, only stating that there is a ‘limited number of tickets available’.

There is no guarantee you can get tickets even if you get a code for the presale.

Reselling your tickets is allowed by only at the price you paid (face value and booking fees). Organisers have stressed to only use the official resale partners Twickets and Ticketmaster.

Selling tickets through unauthorised resale platforms will breach the terms and conditions on the tickets, and those tickets may be cancelled.

You can only buy four tickets per person during the presale window.
