Woman suffered ‘worst death ever’ as she was eaten alive whilst on the phone to her mum

A mother spoke out about her devastation after her teenage daughter was killed while on the phone to her.

19-year-old Olga Moskalyova was taking a summer walk in eastern Siberia before the horrific incident happened.

Olga was on the stroll with her stepfather, Igor Tsyganenkov, by a river in the Russian region of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in August 2011 when a predator attacked them.

A brown bear lunged at the pair, though Olga dodged the animal at first, she witnessed the mother bear attack Igor as his skull was crushed and his neck was broken in front of her.

As he died, Olga ran about 200 feet away from the beast, though it caught up and bit into her leg, dragging her to the ground.

While trying to fight for her life against one of the most terrifying creatures in the world, she got her phone out and called her mother, Tatiana, multiple times during the attack.

Firstly, she shouted down the line: “Mum, the bear is eating me! Mum, it’s such agony. Mum, help!”

Tatiana initially thought that she was joking, but she recalled to the Daily Mail: “But then I heard the real horror and pain in Olga’s voice, and the sounds of a bear growling and chewing.

“I could have died then and there from shock,” she remembered.

Tatiana then tried to get in touch with her husband, not knowing he had already succumbed to his injuries.

She then tried to get in touch with authorities and called family members in the village of Termalniy, desperately trying to get help as she asked people to get to the river.

Olga then called her mother again, saying: “Mum, the bears are back. She came back and brought her three babies.

“They’re… eating me.”

Then, the teenager made her final call about an hour later after the bears left her for dead.

“Mum, it’s not hurting any more. I don’t feel the pain,” she told her mother. “Forgive me for everything, I love you so much.”

That’s when the line was cut, and Tatiana heard her daughter speak for the last time.

Just half an hour later, Igor’s brother, Andrei, appeared at the scene with police, finding the mother bear feasting on his body, with Olga’s dead body also on the ground.

Six hunters were called by emergency services to kill the mother bear and her cubs.

Tatiana said at the time: “My daughter was such fun. She was so cheerful, friendly, and warm.

“She had graduated from music school, and just days before the bear attack she got her driving licence.”

Olga and Igor were buried on the same day in 2011.
